Better late than never. The updates to the site that I've been promising for months are finally finished. I blame a lot of the feet dragging on the frequency of shows I was playing over the last two months. Albeit I wasn't playing every day or anything, but I was playing enough to keep me practicing and keep me from working on the site. Anyway, thanks to some Red Bull and Guinness the updates are complete and now artists of VNN can maintain their profiles. Hot shit! Oh, new release soon, for serious.
2008.05.19 // Pedals and Mods and Bends OH MY
So I've been busy soldering for my upcoming shows. The latest toy in the arsenal is an Electro-Hamonix Bassballs pedal with the trimpots replaced with case mounted for accessibility. It's very nice. I'm also starting to endeavor into building pedals from scratch, some of which will be available on the site eventually. First batch of prototypes include a passive feedback pedal and a white noise generator. Get in touch if you're possibly interested.
2008.05.13 // Theremin Duel to the Death
So last Saturday night was the theremin duel between Hal McGee and Don Butler. Was a sight to be seen, and I'm hoping someone got a video that I can link to. Artist profiles are definitely moving along, I keep saying it will be ready soon, and I mean it... I'm just not sure how soon soon is.
2008.05.06 // Cinco de Mayo and Last.FM
Happy belated Cinco de Mayo everyone. To help celebrate the Mexican holiday I've posted the entire VNN catalog to Last.FM. The songs are available to stream but downloads will still only be allowed from us (and by us I mean Archive.org). Once the artists and albums have been tagged up and some "similar artists" have been linked the VNN releases should start popping up in the Last.fm radio stations. You can check out the not quite finished label page here.

Pardon my absence, my wife, my daughter and I ended up going to Disney for my daughter's first birthday. Was good to get away from it all for a semi-extended period of time. Expect the first VNN CD-R release to be available this coming week.
